My thoughts on Jing right now are not very nice.. I am trying to use it and not havin much success. It is probably operator error and frustration on my part, but I am going to attempt to attach a screen cast, who knows???? I think I do not have something on my laptop to install the operating system. I am not sure, what I have done or not done. I cannot get the little sun thing at the top of my page to capture anything, if anybody knows what is going on let me know. Thanks!!
Ok, maybe now I have Jing loaded correctly C:\Documents and Settings\Mary\Desktop\jing_image.png

Assignment 1: you tube
You Tube is something that I know about and have explored some and want to use in my classroom. I feel that used properly it could be a very useful learning tool for students. I hope that after this class I will be user friendly to me and I can implement it in my lessons and teaching. The video I chose to embed has to do with the 21st Century student and classroom. I feel that technology and things such as you tube are going to play a huge role in the classroom and it will take things such as that to get students attention and get them to learn. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A-ZVCjfWf8
Assignment 3: Music
The music assignment was my favorite, I enjoyed finding new ways to listen to music. I have always listened to some of the stations on CMT.com and enjoyed those. My favorite out of the 4 listed for our assignment was Pandora. I loved it, I plan on using it in my classroom. Alot of times when my students are working in groups or independently on something we play music from a radio, now I can build different playlists according to my tastes and that of my students. I am looking for a way to get Pandora on my phone. Rod Stewart Radio is my favorite station so far.
